Established in 2008, The Local has experienced a happy journey into the hearts and minds of local diners, University of Virginia students and staff, as well as Charlottesville visitors. Our attentive and knowledgeable staff has charmed food writers and food lovers alike while they enjoy the rich mix of deliciously prepared food with the time honored crafts of our day. Local craftsmen's talents grace the building and the beautifully appointed interior supports local artist's paintings and stain glass works.

We are now open for indoor and outdoor dining for parties of 12 or less. Reservations are recommended for all days.

Takeout is also available Monday through Thursday evenings
